Has the BNP done anything for Morley |
In 2006 the first (and so far only) BNP Councillor was elected to Leeds City Council. Since that time you could wonder what has Chris Beverley been doing, the answer is very little, if anything. Whilst Morley Borough Independent Councillors secured funding for a new £15m Leisure Centre in Morley, Beverley has stayed away from meetings and discussions and has had no involvement in any of the decision making. Similarly, those standing for the BNP have not been to any meetings or have had any involvement in bringing the new leisure centre to Morley. The BNP has stood idly by and watched whilst Morley Borough Independent Councillors have brought £1m in funding to regenerate Morley Bottoms, once the main shopping area of Morley. Morley Borough Independent Councillors have secured £1.9m funding for Fountain Primary School whilst the BNP have done nothing. |
The BNP have brought nothing to Morley except their vile mantra of hate and racism, the picture above is an example of the type of activities BNP supporters have been busy carrying out in Morley. Beverley's Post Election Mantra "Let's All Work Together" seems to have been replaced by vitriol and evil in the most recent leaflets from the BNP. No doubt a response, to the fact that Morley Borough Independent Councillors realised early on, that Beverley wanted to work with no-one, save those from his own Party, however it would appear that he is so deceitful even they don't trust him. Read more about this by clicking here. To date over 20 bogus complaints about the Morley Borough Independent Councillors can be traced directly back the BNP in Morley and it's supporters. Beverley's wife Joanna Beverley stood in the nearby Ardsley and Robin Hood ward for the BNP, in 2008 and was defeated by Labour. |

In 2003 Beverley and his sidekick Mark Collett were out and about intimidating people leafleting against the BNP in Kirklees. In the photograph Beverley and Collett can be see carrying Cameras. Shortly after this, images from the day were posted on ultra right wing website "Redwatch", as site designed to intimidate those who campaign against far right organisations. Read more on this by clicking here. Collett is no stranger to appearing in front of a Camera himself. Having met Beverley whilst both were students at Leeds University, he appeared as subject matter of a Channel Four documentary, "Young, Nazi and Proud". Beverley also appears in this illuminating programme which shows Collett for what he really is. |

The BNP has brought nothing positive to Morley Busying himself with Nationalist Issues, Beverley has contributed very little, if anything to the welfare of our Town, preferring instead to try and fleece the electorate by issuing press releases based upon the work of others. Beverley claims to be responsible for the works shortly to be carried out in the Hembrigg and Hesketh Lane Play Areas. However e-mails trails prove the issue of Hesketh Lane and Play Areas in Morley South was first raised by Morley Borough Independent Councillors with Leeds City Council in October 2005. Beverley was not elected until May 2006, so could not have started any work prior to that date. More deceit from the BNP. Meanwhile Morley Borough Independent Councillors have secured over £50k in funding from the private sector for the new Hesketh Lane Play Area. Work at Hembrigg will also include a new Car Park for local residents and Sunday morning footballers, to ease traffic congestion on Quarry Lane. |

Beverley visits the European National Front |
Rather than serve the people of Morley South, Beverley seems more eager to appear at right wing events, not only in this country but also abroad. Pictured right Beverley can be seen at a meeting of European National Front (ENF) . The meeting, held in Reisa, Germany, in mid-February 2007, brought together some of Europe’s most extreme and openly fascist organisations. They include groups that deny the Holocaust happened, worship Adolf Hitler and other wartime fascist leaders, and have been linked to terrorism. |

The meeting was organised by the German skinhead leader Jens Puhse, who
recently escaped conviction after being tried for producing and
distributing racist CDs. |

Got Any Weapons? In 2003 the BBC sent undercover journalist Jason Gwynne to Bradford to work with former BNP Hardliner Andy Sykes. Sykes had seen the error of his ways and decided to expose the BNP for what they are. During the programme Gwynne has occasion to collect Morley BNP activist Chris Beverley en route to a lunch with ultra right winger Jean-Marie Le Pen leader of the French National Front who was visiting England. As Beverley got into the car he asked the question "Got any weapons?". This can be viewed at 48 minutes and 42 seconds into the programme. If you want to see it first, simply slide the marker at the bottom of the player along to that point in the film. The programme can be viewed by clicking the arrow in the bottom left hand corner of the screen to the left. |
