Bus Stop to Move

A bus stop on Bridge Street is to be moved following a campaign by the Elmfield and Bridge Street Residents Group supported by Morley Borough Independent Councillors. The bus stop, presently located outside Elmfield School, will be moved to the end of Quarry Lane.

 Cllr Terry Grayshon said, “I am pleased that Metro have agreed to move this bus stop. The new location will be nearer residents in Elmfield Court, many of who are elderly or disabled. This will make catching a bus easier for these residents. This is a victory for people power and credit must go to the local residents group who have worked hard on this issue.”

 The change of location will be monitored by Metro over the next 3 months and will be made permanent if it has the support of local residents.
